The number of online nursing programs has been steadily increasing over the past decade, and this trend is unlikely to slow down anytime soon. University of Rochester School of Nursing
The School of Nursing is growing, and this year marks the addition of two assistant deans to its leadership team. Carla DeLucia and Lisa Brophy will oversee educational programs and student affairs, respectively. Both women will join a faculty of highly accomplished professors to enhance learning and increase student satisfaction. In addition, the School of Nursing will celebrate its 40th anniversary of chartering Epsilon Xi.
University of South Carolina School of Nursing
The University of South Carolina School of Nursing was ranked number one in the country in the latest edition of US News & World Report’s best online graduate programs. The MSN and DNP programs are delivered entirely online, although some clinical courses will require a visit to Columbia, South Carolina. The courses are highly interactive, with group work, multimedia presentations, and peer critiquing. The programs are also delivered using Blackboard course management, which allows for asynchronous delivery.
University of Texas at Tyler School of Nursing
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Nursing has been a popular school in the state for more than 40 years. Graduates are employed in a wide variety of settings. More than 95 percent of graduates secure a job within two years of graduation, and many plan to continue their education and pursue a doctorate. The school’s excellent reputation is well-deserved and should remain popular in 2022.
Elmhurst University School of Nursing
The school’s undergraduate and graduate nursing programs have received national recognition, and in October, the school added a doctorate degree program. The DNP program focuses on doctoral-level nursing practice and will be offered online in a part-time format. Students in the program will identify an issue that exists in the field and work with faculty to develop a solution. This program will ensure that graduates have the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to excel in their career.
Stony Brook University School of Nursing
With a campus that is nearly a mile long and a total undergraduate population of 18,010, it’s no wonder that the Stony Brook University School of Nursing will be popular in 2022. Founded in 1957, the SUNY institution is based on the suburbs of Long Island, and the school’s academic calendar is semester-based. Tuition for students is $10,410 per semester.
